Neurocore, Kicking ADHD’s Butt

ADHD has become the most common mental illness plaguing both adults and children worldwide. For that reason,Neurocore has dedicated itself to eliminating ADHD through a natural therapy called Neurofeedback.

Originally introduced by Dr. J.F. Lubar in 1976, Neurofeedback is a process of mapping the electrical activity of the patient’s brain and developing a personalized treatment plan to alleviate irregularities. The therapy begins with 3 sessions in which the patient’s brain is monitored by an electroencephalography machine (EEG). The results are compared with thousands of other unnamed EEG readings to develop a clear picture of the patient’s brain activity. From there, a treatment plan is developed and discussed.

For ADHD treatment plan often involves thirty, 45-minute sessions in which the patient focuses on a single task and alerted every time brain activity wanders from the task. The sessions are meant to train the brain to automatically redirect whenever traveling out of range. Neurocore is the nation’s leader in the Neurofeedback therapy. Former patients have reported significant improvement in their ADHD symptoms.

Dr. Saad Saad Innovative Medical Inventions

Dr. Saad Saad is a sought-after pediatric surgeon with over 42 years of medical experience. He is based in Eatontown, NJ with many hospital affiliations in the Toms River, NJ and Forked River, NJ area. He graduated from Cairo University School of Medicine and has been honored with two awards.

On March 23, 2018, Dr. Saad Saad was a subject of an article titled, The Life Saving Medical Inventions of Dr. Saad Saad, Pediatric Surgeon, posted on the Medical Daily Times website by BJ Hetherington. The article briefly described his two patented medical inventions. When Dr. Saad was asked why he decided to invent these devices, he simply said that “necessity is the mother of invention.”

First Medical Invention

The first patented invention addressed the health concern of the harmful radiation exposure of the several X-Rays and/or MRI needed when locating catheters placed inside a patient. A catheter is a thin tubular device inserted into a patient for the purpose of aiding in surgical procedures and to drain fluids and gases.

Another health concern Dr. Saad addressed, doctors will no longer need to use a guide wire to track the catheter placement and the hazard of it potentially breaking inside a patient’s body. Dr. Saad created a Catheter with integral electromagnetic location identification device (Patent Number 5,727,553).

The medical invention works like a metal detector, catheters created with an electromagnetic device and easily detected without the use of an X-Ray or the MRI machine. Can be detected by using an electromagnetic location identification, it is a safe alternative for patients and very practical use for doctors.

Second Medical Invention

Dr. Saad second medical invention was created out of a need to solve a common problem of fluid filling the passageway and obstructing the view of the targeted area causing the removal of the endoscope and inserting a suction to irrigate during an endoscopy. Endoscopy is useful for doctors giving them a visual of the inside of the patient without having to perform surgery.

By using the endoscopes anti-fog port as a suction ad/or irrigation, Dr. Saad created, Methods and Apparatus for Providing Suction and/or Irrigation in a Rigid Endoscope While Maintaining Visual Contact with a Target Area Through the Endoscope (Patent Number 5,725,478). Dr. Saad has personally used this device with success whenever the need to perform an endoscopy. This is a very practical invention and inexpensive and why it is widely used by many doctors today.

Dr. Saad Saad has gifted the medical community with these two practical, time saver and cost-effective devices as his legacy. He was honored with two well-deserved distinguished awards, the Patients’ Choice Award for his excellent patient care and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award.
